We’re Sarah and Rory Johnson — lifelong educators turned mobile bar owners, cocktail dreamers, and partners in everything.
Our story starts way back in middle school, where we first met. Life took us on separate paths for a while, but like any good love story, the road brought us back to each other — a little older, a little wiser, and ready to build a life together.
Our wedding song was "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts, and those lyrics couldn’t ring more true. Every twist and turn led us here: to a life we’re grateful for, and a dream we decided to chase — together.
For years, our summers were spent bartending in Lake George while teaching during the school year. Between pouring drinks and lesson plans, we realized that what we loved most wasn’t just the work — it was the people, the connection, the celebration. We dreamed of something that could bring those pieces together and give us the one thing teaching summers never did, time together.
So we took a leap and launched Broken Road Mobile Bar — a business born from our shared love of hospitality, handcrafted cocktails, and the magic of meaningful moments.
Now, we travel across Upstate New York and the Adirondacks, serving unforgettable events with a side of personal story. Our mobile bar isn’t just a service — it’s a reflection of our journey, a tribute to all the “broken roads,” and a celebration of love, resilience, and raising a glass to what matters most.
